چکیده
Electronic mirrors (E-mirrors) are camera-based mirrorless systems that have been considered as an alternative to conventional automotive rear-view mirrors. E-mirror location and size need be carefully determined provide safe preferred driving conditions. This study examined the effects of location, size, lane-change direction on lane change time, eye-off-road (EOR) mental workload, preference. In a fixed-base simulator, total 20 individuals (mean (SD) age = 24.7 (2.2) years) performed maneuvers under 12 different configurations, comprising 4 locations × 3 screen heights (6, 8, 9.7 cm; width-to-height aspect ratios 16:9). significantly affected EOR preference, whereas preference only. Lane-change with right demanding more time workload. Considering E-mirrors 8 cm high or higher should positioned near sides steering wheel bottom front inner pillars. The relevance these findings ergonomic design guidelines is discussed.

Time Preference and its Effects on Intertemporal
Time preference has a peculiar role in determining the level of economic activities. Time preferenceis the most important origin of interest rate. In this paper we study the founders and defenders'viewpoints about time preference and then we try to criticize them. It seems that discounting futureutilities is resulting from irrationality and it is ethically indefensible too. From mathematical as...

متن کاملProbabilistic Driving Models and Lane Change Prediction
Probabilistic traffic models, providing a statistical representation of the future behavior of traffic participants, are crucial for risk estimation in automotive collision avoidance systems. Current research has focused on large-scale behavior, primarily in the form of lane change prediction. These models are limited in their use for high-fidelity driving propagation. This paper investigates a...
